Don't mess with me.

Wow. Somebody actually tagged on my board, claiming that I insulted Bendemeer students. This anoymous then went on to say that that was Bendemeer Band Concert, not some concert. Great, anoymous. If your intention was to attract my attention as well as my friends', then you did it. Yes, you did it. Famous Anoymous. You are famous because I have decided to devote one entire post on you! You are famous and no longer ANOYMOUS!

I am not going to waste my time on the entire post engaging in a mindless name calling foray or embarking on meaningless arguments. In fact, I am flattered that somebody other than my close friends are actually challenging my opinions.

However, I wish to set the record straight and clarify some FACTS. If you read my post PROPERLY, you will see that asking for encore and cheering for Mr Samad were two entirely distinct matter. I wrote "Especially towards the end. The screams for encore. And more screams from the kids, pledging their undying love for Mr Samad." If you ever did pass your English Comprehension, then I would presume that you would understand that the screams for encore and screams for Mr Samad were two entirely different discussions. Of course, if your ailing memory serves you correctly, you would remember that there were a lot of screams from concert goers declaring their "love" for Mr Samad. This was a fact. I did not say that people were screaming for Mr Samad and not for the encore, as you implied.

In addition, I am astonished and bowled over by how you, Anoymous, yes you, wrote that "n for god sake. tis is bendemeer band concert. not some other concerts." What exactly is the meaning of not some other concerts? Please enlighten me. If you would like to know, I just came back from another concert. SMU Symphonic Concert. Well, this time the audience were very well behaved. Dressed appropriately, clapped at the appropriate moments, cheered at the right time. No chattering. No handphone ringings. At all. Period.

Pardon me if I were to borrow some skills that I learnt from my Analytical Skills class and put it to good use.

If SMU is an educational institution, then Bendemeer is also an educational institutional.
SMU is a educational institution.
Therefore, Bendemeer is an educational institution.

If SMU students can behave appropriately, then Bendemeer students can also behave appropriately.
SMU students can behave appropriately.
Therefore, Bendemeer students can behave appropriately.

If SMU students are humans, then Bendemeer students are humans.
SMU students are humans.
Therefore, Bendemeer students are humans.

If SMU Concert is a concert, then Bendemeer Band Concert is also a concert.
SMU Concert is a concert.
Therefore, Bendemeer Band Concert is a concert.

Just in case you are wondering, these statements are based on the Modus Ponens argument form, which means that they are valid and sound. Which means that it is a logical argument. Therefore, I am mystified as to why you implied that Bendemeer concert is not another concert. As to why you implied that Bendemeer band members are not deserving of the respect they should just as SMU band members.

Here is a piece of advice for you, anoymous, get a life!

Instead of wasting your time blog surfing here and making ridiculous presumptions and conclusions about people's opinion, I suggest you brush up your comprehension skills before you do anything else. Read carefully before you start lambasting people. Of course, if you have the guts to reprobate people's argument, I would suggest to you revealing your real identity instead of cowering behind the word anoymous.

With reference to your first claim that I insulted Bendemeer students, in any case, my post about my encounter with Bendemeer students was entirely a satirical based opinion. It was not an insult to Bendemeer students in any case. It was a truthful report about the behaviour of the students brought about by a hint of causticity. Naturally, your allegation of "insult" only serves to reflect upon your maturity level. Rest assure, you have my utmost sympathy. My heart goes out to you.

Just a note and reflection point. The world would definitely be a better place if people learnt to read before they denunciate people's opinion. It is the result of mindless people who goes around lifting words out of context that led to the many, many rifts and confrontations. And the world would definitely be much better without judgemental people. No, make that judgemental and ignorant strangers who pretend to know it all. And one final point, never mess with me.

Stuck in the library.

It is 7.15pm and I am still stuck in the school library. I have been sitting in the library for more than 7 hours. Argh!!! Endless project meetings and my mugging. This is my life for you. I have another meeting coming up at 8pm. Can you believe it? 8pm!!! I have not had my lunch yet. The only intriguing thing about staying in the library is the handsome Brazilian guy sitting in front of me. And the other Ang-moh guy. All sitting in AMCC, typing away at the computer. By the way, AMCC is the 3rd floor of the library. It stands for Ang-Moh Community Club. =) It is a tribute to the endless stream of Caucasians in the 3rd floor of the school library. Time to head to my meeting soon and it is Closing Time for the library.

****HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!****
**XIN NIAN KUAI LE!!!**
I absolutely love Chinese New Year. My favorite time of the year! Loads of goodies to eat. Ang-pows to collect. And those Chinese New Year songs. He Xing Nian Zhu Xing Nian, Xing Nian Ah Nian Lian Nian... Whoever wrote these songs should be awarded a Nobel prize. These songs are so infectious that every time I hear these songs, I feel like singing and dancing along with it. I have been singing Chinese New Year songs at home recently, only to have my sisters look at me as if I had gone bonkers. But, I am just trying to infect everybody with the Chinese New Year spirit! It is absolutely the most uplifting period of the year.

Nevertheless, this must have been the most unprepared Chinese New Year in my 19-20 years of my life. Every Chinese New Year, I would buy new clothes like a few months earlier and await for the day to come when I can wear my new clothes. It is this silent anticipation that makes Chinese New Year all the more worth waiting for! But this year, I am so so unprepared. For one thing, I did not have time to buy my New Year clothes, thanks to my endless projects and presentations. That's the life of a smoothie for you. =( I went to town today. I think the whole of Singapore must have been out today. It was P-A-C-K-E-D! I think I must have said a hundred Excuse Me, Excuse Me. Sigh! Murphy's Law didn't help either. What can go wrong will go wrong. Everytime you look for clothes at the last minute, you will never be able to find any. Honest. This is always the case. I have no time to go town again. Tomorrow, I still have to go to school for project meeting and make-up Analytical Skills class. And guess what? AS is until 5pm. Just because John Williams is an Ang-moh, his poor students are unable to celebrate Chinese New Year. Sob, sob.
Anyway, I am so excited about Chinese New Year! Counting down now... Xin Nian Kuai Le, once again!
