Life sucks! Part 2.

I hate queue cutters. People who cut queues are bloody ill-mannered animals. Boorish and impertinent cretins. Pui! Seeing your faces make me want to puke.

Today was the first day of school. I went to school specially to sell my books at Verts. When I reached, it was already 11.40am. The queue was stretched way beyond the classroom. Furthermore, the queue was snailing. All thanks to A LOT of bloody bastards who decided to cut the queue. These ungracious and dim-witted morons all used the same low and indespicable tactic. Each one of them pretended to see their friends standing in the queue and wiggled their way into the line, standing there under the pretext of chit chatting for a while. The only thing was that their chit-chatting was so long that they lasted all the way till they reached the counter. These imbeciles were chit chatting about everything under the sun. Fawning over every thing. "Wah, your hair very nice leh.", "Wah, your bag very nice leh.", "Wah, your glasses very nice leh." Please forgive me if I roll my eyes. These people really have nothing better to say than to praise people's spectacles when I could see that it was a Snoopy brand. Roll my eyes again. Chey! You think I don't know your ploy meh? Humpfff.. I rolled my eyes so many times that if I roll it again, I think my eyes are going to roll to the back and never come back again.

Perhaps you think I am making a big fuss out of nothing. You must be thinking, "You think you are an angel? Never cut people's queue before?" But do you know how long I queued. A freaking 1 1/2 hours. Plus the freaking hot weather only serves to make my blood boil. The weather station must be lying when they said the temperature was between 25 to 32 Degree Celcius. I swear it felt like 50 Degree Celcius. I was drenched in sweat. So much sweat that I look like I just stepped out of the shower. And do you know how far it takes to walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT to School of Information Systems? And do you know how heavy the bag of books was? I could have been out there fast enough. If not for those freaking bastards and bitches. I lost track of the number of f***s that I silently threw at those queue cutters. F*** lah! Tomorrow all of you queue-cutters will wake up with a lot of red spots on your face! *Sticks my tongue out at them*

Life sucks. I helped my sister return her CD at her music school. Walked under the scorching sun for god knows how long. And I almost got killed by a car. Sigh. When I reached the music school, it was not open. I sat at the bench, dripping in sweat for 30 minutes and still the door was not open. Exasperated and extremely pek-chek, I decided to take a cab to Orchard. Window shopped a little to make myself feel better. Almost got cheated into buying an Ettusais blusher. However, I came to my senses quick enough. I am on shopping ban! Life sucks, don't you think?

Life sucks!

Life sucks. School will be starting on Monday. And I will start my whirlwind and hectic life again. Days sitting in the library till sunset. Daily project meetings. Irritating and repulsive project mates who literally sends your blood boiling. Life sucks.

Life sucks even more more when my favourite Superstar is kicked out of the competition. My Superstar, Junyang! He is the only contestant that I feel has the potential to make it big in Singapore and the regional. Now that he has been eliminated, I see no point in watching Superstar.

3 reasons why JY is my Superstar.

1. Isn't it obvious? We share the same surname - Ang/Hong. How many Angs are there around? You always hear of Tans and Lims. If you trace the family tree to a thousand years ago, we could even be relatives. Haha.

2. I love his voice! Fell in love with his unique voice when he first sang. Initially, I was extremely skeptical of him. Especially when my sis told me that his voice sounded so much like JJ Lin. But he proved to be such a great talent that he can sing any song with his own style.

3. He looks great!

I am dying from cuteness now.
He looks a little like the cartoon character Woodstock from Snoopy, don't he?

Bloody hell. Now I am even denied the pleasure of listening to him sing. Nothing for me to look forward to during Wednesdays and Thursdays. Did I mention that life sucks? Big time.

I am deaf!

Damn! My left ear is blocked. So seriously blocked that if I put my earphone on the right side, I am officially deaf. It is not only uncomfortable but also freakingly irritating. The incessant ringing that I hear in my left ear gets on my nerves.

Not to mention the hot weather that I have been experiencing of late. Every walk from City Hall MRT to school makes me sweat like a pig. Not kidding here. I sweat so much that by the time I reach school, my makeup melts and the back of my shirt is totally drenched with sweat. Yucks! Every single one of these irritants add up to a scowling and cranky me. I think I have transfigured into an angsty Avril Lavigne here. Sigh.

It's really hard to engaged in conversations when you lose one side of your hearing. I was practically lip-reading what Vanessa was trying to tell me. She had to stand on my right side in order for me to hear properly. In class, we had to pass notes to each other so as not to yell to a partially deaf girl sitting next to her. This afternoon, Van and I were at Kopitiam when we saw a group of Ang-mohs sitting around a table. Vanessa was curious to know whether one of the Caucasions was her lost French buddy. Van signed up for a buddy program where she was partnered with a French girl coming here for an exchange program. She happily let her arrive in Singapore without picking her up on National Day. She told the girl that she was going to watch the National Day Parade. Except that she left out the part where she was watching at home. Sigh. Poor girl. Never mind. The point was that we were both curious to find out. Therefore, we pretended to walk past their table to hear whether they were speaking French. When we walked past their table, I told Vanessa, "What? They not talking!" Then she said, "Screw lah! They WERE talking! In a foreign language!" Sigh. Again. Tell me how Beethoven did it.

Technology is Evil.

Sometimes I think human beings rely too much on technology. Internet and mobile phones. Technology is such an indispensable element of our daily lives. We have become so accustomed to data storage and information access at the twirl of our thumbs. Such that we become handicapped without it. It is only when we are denied access to technology when the vulnerability sets in.

Just this afternoon, I was sweating bullets thanks to a false alarm. I have the habit of only bringing my adaptor and not my laptop battery to school. When I plugged in my adaptor into the socket in the GSR today, I realised that my laptop would not start up. Initially I thought it was because I did not switch on the main power or because I had made an illegal access to the GSR and thus, the system was denying my access to the power. Still it didn't make sense because the City Campus is supposed to be so high-tech that the escalator does not move until somebody steps on it. So if the system really detected my presence, it should have locked me out. But no matter how I tried, my dear old laptop still would not start up. My first thoughts were, "Shit! What the hell happened? Did my laptop just crashed? Virus? No, please no!" All my important documents were in there. My report due on Friday, presentations, 2GB worth of music, Lord of the Rings video, photos and my precious Kristin Kreuk collage that I painstakingly put together the other day. Or is my adaptor spoilt? Shit! How many hundreds of dollars do I have to spend purchasing a new one? No matter how hard I pressed the On button, my laptop would not start up. How could this happen? I made sure I scan my laptop everyday. After a long period of silent cursings and agonising over the worst possibilities, my project mates came back. They did a check for me. And that was when we discovered..

there was NO POWER SUPPLY to the room!

Chey! Scared the hell out of me. Strange thing was the lights in the room were working. So was the aircon. Only the power supply were not. Humpff.. Must be because the new campus is not fully ready yet. Nevertheless, it set me thinking. What if one day technology were to be taken away from us? Perhaps by terrorists or even aliens? Honestly, I wouldn't know what to do. Whenever I have a problem, the first thing I would think of is Google. If Google didn't exist, where would I be now? Sigh. I know I cannot prevent aliens from attacking us or terrorists from cutting my access to Internet. But the first thing I am going to do on Friday is to BACKUP all my data! Next week I am going to bring my laptop to CIT and reformat my computer. Whatever happens, I am not going to take any chances.

Food. Food. And more food.

Yesterday was an unofficial Family Day for me. In the morning, we went to Werkz, a photo studio in Tanjong Pagar for a family protrait. After that, we went to have dim-sum at China Town. Okay, so I wasn't exactly in the nicest of the mood. My temper was at its pinnacle. Frustrated by the hot weather and all the walking to get to the dim-sum place. But I metamorphed for the better, cheerful self immediately at the restaurant. Delicious and piping hot siew-mai. Crispy fried dumplings. Heavenly har-gow. Yay! I was in food paradise. Slurpzz!

For dinner, we went to a Sze Chuan restaurant in Crown Prince Hotel for a Chinese buffet. Funny right? Never ever heard of a Chinese buffet. Basically there are unlimited orders for the dishes. I think if I were to go to China, I would have to pack a luggageful of maggie mees. Sze Chuan food just were not to my liking. They taste a little.. funny. And HOT! Hot as in spicy and.. hot lah! While my sisters drowned the entire bowlful of hot and spicy Sze Chuan soup, I barely finished half the bowl. I didn't even touch half of the dishes laid on the table. All I know was that I was filling my stomach with Chinese tea. The only dish I like was the Sze Chuan pan cake. Yummy!!! Thin crispy crust with thick layer of lotus paste. I still want to eat the pan cake!

Outfit of the day!

See my jacket? Rui-En has the same jacket as me in the National Day song video. But I didn't copy her, okay? She copy me. I bought this way before that video even came out.

My waves. I did my hair way long ago. Just that I haven't had the chance to capture it.
I love my pink camisole! (The one I was wearing under the jacket.) I was extremely depressed yesterday so I decided to treat myself. SHOPPING!!!

I probably won't be blogging for the coming week. 3rd week of school! Good news is that Summer classes will be ending! Bad news is that I am swamped with project deadlines. BYE-BYE!
